ABOUT US

Mooselook Acres is an 80-acre, veteran owned and operated, homestead in Hanover, Maine. Situated in Oxford County, our  homestead includes over 5 miles of hiking trails, a cabin retreat, the family farm, and so much more. It's the perfect retreat for every season.

The owners, Shawn and Jenn, moved to Maine in 2020 and set to work building out the existing footprint that exists today. The project started with the primary residence (Mooselook Lodge) and the cabin (Mooselook Too) on 23 acres and has slowly grown to include more than 3,000 feet of stream frontage, hiking trails, bee hives, chickens, flower and vegetable gardens, and wood processing to manage the health of the forest. When we moved to Oxford County, we had no idea that the land would afford us such infinite opportunities and we take care to protect it. Our home became a retreat and we are lucky enough to share it with you.

We make a variety of handcrafted goods to include our apothecary line of soaps, scrubs, bath salts, lip balms,  lotion and shampoo bars. Our woods provide us with the ingredients for jams, jellies, and, of course, maple syrup. To keep you warm through the Maine (and beyond) winters, Jenn knits beanies, scarves, mittens and leg warmers. Custom gifts can always be accommodated.
